What is a Chancellor University Titan Contest Winner!

Johnnie Dent, Jr., graduate student at Chancellor University (CU), has won the 2008-09 iPOD for the best essay describing a CU Titan. The following is only an excerpt from his thoughtful consideration about the topic. His message will resonate with many of our students, who wrestle with the high price of perseverance versus the value of the lovely taste of its reward. For many, these are daily considerations; however, Chancellor University Titans overcome. Congratulations Johnnie!

A Titan is someone who is fashioned through pure desire and wins with determination;
A Titan listens to the odds of being successful,
Weighs the cost, and commits to nothing short of the final aspiration.
A Titan is someone who spouts as legacy unfolds;
A Titan is fueled by ambition, weathers any storm knowing that in the end
The substance of who they become is comparable only to gold.
A Titan arises just as the acorn seed;
Small in the beginning but dares to touch the sky and embraces opportunity.
A Titan begins purposefully, with the end in mind;
Despite adversity, a Titan perseveres by drawing pride from the inside!
